The end of an opportunity

Today marks the end of my volunteering service at Bishan Stadium for the Youth Olympic Games!

It was a once in a lifetime (well once in 200 years) opportunity and I am so glad I went for my duties. Although, my duty was situated at the dining area and i could not watch any competitions (or so i thought).

But new friendships were forged.
Of course, my fellow catering service crews!

And other friends that i made randomly.... (as said in the previous post)

And a few more whom i didn't manage to take a photo with....

They were the ones who made my boredom disappear by chatting with me and helping me enter the sports hall...secretly :D

The qualifying rounds for group gymnasts (hoops and ribbons) were held today and so i stayed back to watch. Team singapore participated and hey, we should be proud that they competed! Though they came in 5th out of 6 teams.

Team Russia was so unbelievably coordinated and in synced! Their choreography was freeeking awesome... and they deserved their 1st.

Too bad i'm not on duty anymore, if not I will definitely "pop" by to watch the finals tmr...

This is me with my Venue Catering Manager!! Presenting my certificate :)

If I had the chance to volunteer again, I would not hesitate to. But, perhaps i would choose to be in another section where I am more exposed than being cooped up.

Till then, Sayonara YOG and See you 200 years later!!
