World’s Coolest Intern

So what does it take to be the World's Coolest Intern?!

Sounds pretty intimidating but I am so hyped about it!

Okay, so why do I think I am ready and totally cool for it?

Here's real reasons why:

I and very often!

Everytime I use my laptop, the first few letters I will type due to nature instinct would be F,a,c,e. And this would be followed by a new tab and the letters T,w,i,t.

This has been my daily routine and I would gladly say, I am addicted.

Addicted to sharing my thoughts with the rest of the world and just being a stalker

*wriggles eyebrows*

Currently, I am a year 2 Ngee Ann Polytechnic student in Mass Communication.

In that course, you MUST always be passionate in what you are doing or you will never survive.

Having completed 1 and a 1/2 year, I have dabbled in a variety of modules.

Design, marketing, communication skills. Whatever you name, you get it.

Had difficulties in the beginning of my poly life because I could not adapt but look at me now, I am very comfortable in what I am doing :D

Basically, I am well prepared for any hurdles and obstacles that come my way and will always find the motivation to overcome any!

I am so thankful that STANDARD CHARTERED BANK offered everyone a chance to have an internship of a lifetime! Of course, I would grab that opportunity and try my best!

Whatever happens, happens. But till then, I will wish every 11:11 that I will be chosen!

But wait, I am not done yet!

I have yet to discuss my point of view about the movie, Buried.

One man stuck in a coffin. What will you expect from this movie?

Heard so many conflicting reviews and I just couldn't wait to watch it.

I have to say that it was brilliant. From head to toe ;D

Ryan Reynolds acting was top notch as his every emotion had to seem real and trigger our emotions. Well, I thought he achieved that.

The plot was amazing as well. I guess the director's aim was to expose how irresponsible the police forces were and how cruel the Iraqi's could be. All these done with careful thoughts. (Y)

Two days ago was Halloween! I have never attended a party or went out in funky outfits before, so i was hoping this year would be different. Perhaps I could finally dress like a vampire or something. Unfortunately, there were no plans.

But! Hayley and Elijah chilled at my house and we started to do crazy things!

Jumping sessions, dancing to Brown Eyed Girls 'Abracadabra' (ELIJAH SHOOK HIS SEXAAYE BUTT!!- Too bad my handphone camera failed on me D: I would definitely make it a viral video. Okay, just kidding Eli), singing and guitaring together and of course, camwhoring.

Wonderful moments spent with amazing people AWWWWW :'D

Based on the fact that I have not blogged anything for a long while, I will TRY my best to come up with a lengthy post (Don't worry, its not gonna be a word vomit. There will be pictures to brighten up the day)

So let me rewind back to the beginning of october *enters a time machine*

Band performance for 10/10/10

So, I went back to Hougang Secondary School a number of times between late sept till 10th oct for rehearsals. Initially, i had the feeling that it was going to be tough. Not being able to play well in front of the juniors was embarrassing enough and I couldn't even buzz properly.

But i tried, and totally didn't regret it!

Had fun with the piece (Takarajima) although my lips were killing me. They were unforgivable, bleeding the moment i reached home D:

Best moments were the time spent with the rest of the Alumni.

It had been ages since everyone hanged out together, lunching at Pizza Hut, wearing the same shirt (intimidating people with our black and white outfit- there were 19 of us walking around) and just basically laughing and talking as a whole :) A pity that there were many others who weren't there but still...

I felt a little emotional (I dont know why!) when 10/10/10 was over because everyone bonded quite a lot and I don't know when would be the next time there will be such a gathering. Actually, I am sure there will be more to come but you never know. It will be fun-ner with more Alumni, for sure!

After that day, I cannot really remember what happened except that I had work a few times per week, went out for impromptu Karaoke at 11pm, kept whining that I wanted to watch Buried but always didn't get the chance to (either there were no more shows available, or the cinema had closed).

One of the latest outing was pretty enjoyable! I went out with Cal in the early afternoon till 4pm to camwhore around Marina Bay Sands and the Helix Brige. It was scorching hot and i swear, if the temperature increased by 1 more degree, I would have melted. I have a rough feeling how hell feels like :\

Anyway, we met and headed to MBS! When i entered, I felt that i had entered an optical illusion. Everything was everywhere and the design was uniquely unusual.

The glass windows were bent inwards and it gave me the feeling that it would collapse anytime. Scary much! It didn't feel so much like a hotel, but with luggages and foreigners everywhere, obviously it was.

There was this huge structure of some thin metal pieces stuck together. But I thought it kinda looked like pubic hair :\ Anyone agrees?

Finally headed out to the Helix Bridge to camwhore and Calista was seriously running for shelter. I was just strolling slowly behind. Was too lazy to run heehee.

And so, the phototaking session begins!

Was just experimenting with different shots from different angles on the Helix Bridge and out of no where pops a foreigner.

So firstly, she mentioned that she was passionate in photography (obviously she will have good camera skills) AND THEN she asked me to help her capture photos of her with the various LANDMARKS (i dk if this is the correct word). I tried my best to perfect the shots but i obviously still sucked. How can i even compareeeee?

I felt so bad because she was a visitor and wanted to snap the moment but i think i ruined it D:

And so finally, we went for our long awaited TAU HUEY! At a shop near Lasalle.

Now now, when you walk past the shop it will look like typical one selling average Tau Huey. But when you take your first scoop of it, you will gulp the whole thing down within seconds. That awesome!

And so by that time, it was already pretty late. Around 10 coming 11pm.

However, I heard that my auntie managed to get a room at the Marina Bay Sands (omg, 1000K per night)

Of course, me and Eli headed down...

Those balloons that I am holding are so pretty right? A pity that they are not real. It is actually part of the picture O.O

So Elijah and me skipped happily to MBS but we were minutes too late to visit the sky garden and the infinity pool. Vehlie der unfortunate...

We live by this motto! "One time cannot see, we try another time." Went back to MBS the next day since my auntie was still there.



That is the infinity pool if you are wondering what I am taking photo of. Pardon the quality because it was late in the night...and yes, i have turned on the flash.

Most people have been mentioning how gorgeous the infinity pool is and it was indeed very spectacular. Viewing the entire skyline of Singapore at such a marvelous height.

I am still impressed with the concept of the infinity pool but I really wished that I was in it. Stayed around there for a while to take in the cool breeze. Makes you feel like you have no worries at all!

School has started and it's the second day already. Call me weird, but I kinda want some assignments to start. I want my creative juices flowing in.. (I hope i dont regret saying this)

There are certain individual projects and one of them is regarding DESIGN. This word scares me especially after getting a grade D for Graphic Communication (which is also related to Design).

Perfect, D for Design.

Anyway, I want to prove to myself that I have the capabilities and that is why I am looking forward to conquering all these hurdles! *self motivation*

I feel my band geekiness coming back. I am not even sure if that is a proper word but heck.

Basically, I am starting to enjoy playing trumpet again!! Oh my i cant believe it

Anyhooos, today was an enjoyable day at work! I had many visitors :)

Like melzie ng, potato and his friend and a really surprising visit from Sophia, Cheryl and Anzhu

It's really nice of them to come down to visit or buy stuffs (since i have the 30% discount! [i love it, so many good deals for cotton on staffs])

Although I cant really talk much, because there are people with eagle eyes always spying on us, I am really glad for the short-lived company because it entertained me!

Sigh, I work with Hay also cant talk much to her :( Boo to that, right hay?!?!?

So in 4 more days, my hard-earned pay will be deposited to my account and I cant wait for the numbers to increase!!! This means my parents will be awaiting some good food and I will be ready for some hard-core shopping weeee

Here for a short update!

So this morning, i got awoken by a call to remind me to check my results.

Of course I was feeling anxious, who wouldn't be? I put in much effort for the recent

semester and I just want to see my hardwork pay off.

But instead of immediately checking, I actually went to FB and Twitter

to kay-poh a bit on status updates about results. There were, without fail, various updates of it.

LOL

So finally it was time to know how i fared. And erm, i must say i felt very normal. It was a neutral feeling. No happiness, no sadness.... My current GPA deproved by 0.01 but my overall cumulative improved by 0.01. Whuuut.

All As and Bs so pretty satisfied with that but oh man, im still so far away from a decent GPA to enter Uni. Sigh oh sigh.

So that's it for results. Once again, it's time to work hard and aim for a 3.9(?!?!) ya. That's such an impossible feat but miracles do happen heehee

Other than that, life's been filled with many days of work. and various outings with friends!

So I caught the movie Charlie St. Cloud yesterday and it was pretty nice! I find Zac Efron really hot (his bod) and his acting was surprisingly good. He really matured as an actor...

And went to sing karaoke with Yushan for 4 hours. nonstop pls. My voice like sexy only after the session lol but it was great fun! We really love singing ( surprising?) so this is like one of our hobbies. Hey, i sing at home all the time alright. With my mom, when im alone, to irritate my dad, when im bored. At any point of time.
